Marshall Poem

More than any other
cousins’ birth I was so excited to have you
here (close to Katie’s age and close by in Douglas)
Although I love all my other cousins’ kids you were something special
(you were here the least amount of time, but I feel like I knew you the
most)
Rarely do I go to the hospital to meet new babies, I was compelled to
meet you [you were the most beautiful newborn I'd ever seen (don't tell
Katie though)]
Somehow Katie knew you were special too, she knew your name right away
and asked for you often (knowing even when we went to uncle Georges that
you were next door)
How hard it was at your funeral when she kept calling your name (she
didn't see your mom or dad so I don't know how she knew what was going
on, but she did)
Always know how much you touched us
Life gets taken for granted every day, you have taught me to appreciate
the many blessings I have
Love is the most powerful emotion, thank you for showing so many people
what it really means.
